Never ended up recording any clips, but I can say that most descriptions around here sound pretty spot on. Think DR103 with more loose Marshall to it.

I'll get some recorded clips... someday. Maybe a trip to the store for a new recording setup is in order.

awesome....man did you plan a kit?

Yeah, we have a kit in the works. I recorded 70 minutes of random noise (while the wife was out ), I just need to find some free time to cut it up into clips.
I used Fanes, Celestions, a Schecter (my pseudo-LP) and a Telecaster.

could you tell me what filtering you used for your amp? I'm considering 4 x100uF for mains (series/parallell), 2x200uF for PI (series), and then a single 4 or 8uF on V4, as well as a 16+16 or 32+32 for the preamp on my JP. That's what it looks to me like the original had.
